With a sound that has been aptly described as stylized by British mod-polish and shambolic skinhead anthems, baptized by the violence and high decibel destruction of punk and hardcore, Northern Towns burst onto the scene giving the nod to classics of yesteryear while managing to write music that is emphatically modern and vital. Their disregard for genre convention is evidenced by the sprinkling of melodica and horns within their songs, as well as Daniel's lyrical commitment to storytelling alongside confessional celebrations of music as salvation.
